Dr Brent Woods is a specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon holding both medical and dental registrations. Dr Woods undertook his advanced surgical training (FRACDS (OMS)) in Melbourne followed by additional training in facial trauma surgery in Perth. His interests include dentoalveolar surgery including extraction of impacted wisdom teeth and dental implants; corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) and facial trauma. Brent is the Director of Maxillofacial Surgery at The Austin Hospital, where he is involved in the training of the next generation of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and in the teaching of junior doctors within the unit.
